Faithful Work in the City

Seven practices for presence, integrity, wisdom, service, and witness

Work is one of the ordinary places where discipleship becomes visible. These seven plates explore vocation beneath Christ’s lordship—in business, education, creativity, caregiving, public service, and the shared life of Hong Kong.

Receive Work as Vocation

Human work begins as participation in God’s cultivating and caring purpose.

A job may change, but vocation begins with belonging to Christ and loving neighbour. Paid and unpaid work, study, caregiving, craft, and leadership can all become faithful stewardship offered to the Lord.

Our first calling is to Christ; our work becomes one place we answer Him.

The vocational journey

Seven practices.
One faithful witness.

Monday’s prayer

Lord Jesus, receive my work.

Bring your skill, pressure, relationships, decisions, and ambition beneath Christ’s lordship. Ask how your work can tell the truth, serve people, create good, and bear humble witness today.
